From 1997 to 2008, Mr. Bassan worked for several exploration and production mining companies in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Australia as an exploration geologist, grade control geologist and resource/reserve geologist. Since late 2008 until present, Mr. Bassan has worked as an independent consultant in the mining industry developing projects of base and precious metals, lithium deposits and industrial minerals. Key experience comprises project generation, project assessment, geologic mapping, drill program design, development and supervision, QA/QC programs, database analysis geologic modeling and resource/reserve estimation. Mr. Bassan is an author of more than six international publications with other high-reputation resource/reserve professionals. He has designed and taught courses on resource/reserve estimation at the graduate level and advanced mining engineering students at the Universidad Nacional de San Luis, Argentina. Geologist

Geologist with more 24 years of experience working in Argentina, Perú, Chile and Panamá. I am passionate about our resources industry and am an active AusIMM and CIMM member. My work experience includes 10 years as an exploration geologist for gold and base metal deposits, 10 years as a mine geologist in open pit mining and more than 4 years as a consulting geologist working in base metals, precious metals and lithium brines.
Mineral Resources Geologist with solid geological experience and extensive knowledge in:
-Strong commitment demonstrated in environment, communities and safety of the daily work with contractors.
-Integration of the mining process at different stages: from greenfield-brownfield exploration, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, to mine production.
-Leadership and management of geological studies in phases of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility according to international standards (JORC, NI 43-101), including geotechnical studies, metallurgical and hydrogeological for the development of the project (Projects: Bajo de La Alumbrera, Bajo El Durazno and Agua Rica).
-Technical review and audit the basics of recoverable resources model: sampling (database, QA/QC) and geological model (Projects: Cobre Panamá, Zafranal, Antamina, Spence, Las Bambas and Los Bronces UG).
-Geological Modeling of deposits epithermal and porphyry Cu-Au-Mo, using field observations and drill cores (La Cabeza, Bajo de La Alumbrera, Bajo El Durazno, Bajo San Lucas, Bajo Las Pampitas – Argentina – and Zafranal – Perú).
-Design, management, and execution of drilling programs. Training, leadership, management and supervision of work teams.
-Preparation and cost analysis, planning and implementation of budgets and estimated (CAPEX, OPEX).

Mario Eduardo Rossi

Mario Eduardo Rossi

Mining Engineer

Nearly 30 years’ experience in mining and environmental geostatistics, mineral resource and reserves estimation, audits, and reviews, and conditional simulation studies of different scales and purposes. Mr. Rossi has worked in over 100 different mining projects at various stages of development and operations around the world, including precious and base metals, multi-element deposits (Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Pb, Zn, etc.), laterite-type deposits, sedimentary deposits (uranium, coal), Iron hematite and magnetite deposits, and industrial minerals such as limestone, nitrate, iodine, lithium and graphite deposits.

Mario has also worked on a large number of environmental projects applying geostatistics, mostly in the United States. He has also taught over 50 short courses in different circumstances and for varied audiences, including University courses and as Guest Lecturer (bachelor, graduate, and post-graduate level courses at Colorado School of Mines – USA; Universita’ degli Studi di Bari – Italy; Universidad Católica del Norte – Chile; Universidad Nacional de Colombia – Medellín; Universidad Nacional de San Luis – Argentina; Universidad Nacional de San Juan – Argentina); short courses for private companies; and public one or two week-long courses and workshops. Mr. Rossi has published over 50 papers, mostly on topics related to geostatistics and mineral resource estimation and simulation.

Mario is the co-author of the book “Mineral Resource Estimation” (Rossi, M., and Deutsch, C., ed. Springer), published in January 2014.
